Muhtari Aminu-Kano is from Nigeria and works with Islamic Relief Worldwide as a Senior Policy Advisor. He helped develop Islamic  Relief’s policy on climate change. He was also a co-developer of an online course on Islamic guiding principles on environmental sustainability. He was co-chair of the organizing committee of the International Islamic Climate Change Symposium held in Istanbul in August 2015 which launched the Islamic Declaration on Climate Change. He has previously worked with the IUCN, WWF and BirdLife International.
