Most climate talk is doom and gloom, but one should never underestimate the power of positivity to spark people into action. Don’t we all want better lives? Cleaner, safer cities? Healthier food? Good communities? At COP21 we’re going to share stories, personal experiences and keynotes from the people who believe smiles, optimism and fun can drive great change. And this time you’re in change, if you like what you hear all you need to do is smile and the presentation goes on hence our mantra: "More smiles, more mikes". Smiles are contagious, start today. The Smileathon are brought to you by the European sustainability communication group Do Not Smile and their army of smilers.
Format:
We invite 15 speakers to do a talk on "Sustainability makes me smile". They might present funny campaigns, be stand up comedians or speakers with a spiritually, philosophically positive message concerning sustainability that makes you smile. All of the speakers have 5 minutes, but if a majority of the audience lifts a smile placard, it’s 3 minutes more mike time "More smiles, more mikes"!
