How can scientists talk about climate change differently?A new social contract between scientists and society is needed. Its purpose? Produce more engagement with climate policies. With the necessity for scientists to devote their energies and talents to the most pressing problems of the day in proportion to their importance - especially to be informed on the way to develop more sustainable biosphere.
Science is only one dimension of vastly complex system of human enterprise. What is our expectations from scientists - and what do they expect from themselves? Is it time to cast aside all silos and allow for the free flow of data and information coming from Science to inform all other dimensions of human society without fear of reprisal for those working in the sciences. What do scientist know, how can we amplify their findings and turn them into positive actions which inform our political, economic, and legal systems and change behavior?
