I am a researcher and writer who focuses on the environment as a political-economic space. I'd like to discuss how to utilize grassroots approaches and community engagement to make ecological concepts clearer to the general public. My biggest concern in terms of new media is how creators of media can better fit in the idea of political ecology or environmental justice into broader climate change discussions, in a ways that are more engaging and less specialized and technocratic.
